James Gandolfini on a Harley

I was thinking about why we are all so tremendously saddened by the sudden death of James Gandolfini. I think it was those many Sunday nights when America, collectively, had the same thing to look forward to. We could not wait for Tony Soprano to come into our living rooms and captivate us for an hour. I read where someone said, even if James Gandolfini was eating a plate of spaghetti, you couldn't take your eyes off him. I can't think of another actor who has made me want to watch him more.

Several years ago my husband and I were fortunate enough to meet him at a motorcycle charity event. He was the Grand Marshall of the Boggy Creek Ride For Children which left out of Destination Daytona in Ormond Beach. Here is a great pic we took of him trying out different Harley's as he decided which one he would ride that day. He seemed so gracious and down to earth. Time to get out our Soprano's dvd's and revisit this man's genius. He will be greatly missed.
