I had the pleasure of seeing the Bath Salt Zombies last night at the Tir Na Nog in Daytona Beach, Florida. After living in the area for many years and hearing the "same old same old" the BSZ were truly like a breath of fresh air. Rather than try and describe them to you, I will borrow their own description from their facebook page, because it sums them up very nicely:
The Bath Salt Zombies play acoustics, but don't let that fool you. Their acoustic image is countered with shredder banjo leads, killer percussion, funky double bass and in-your-face vocals that will make your head spin. BSZ's versatility will leave you wanting more!
I agree, I was definitely left wanting more. Also, the Tir Na Nog in Daytona Beach is a very cool venue. Think Irish Pub meets 60's coffee house. Pleasantly bohemian atmosphere. If you didn't get to see them last night, you can catch them this weekend at the Band Camp on Cracker Creek in Port Orange Florida. I highly recommend you check this band out!!!
